It looks gorgeous, and the soundtrack is one of my very favourites on the Wii U, if not ever. The gameplay is very tight and the characters are enjoyable to control, the lack of waggle controls is very welcome too and my only complaint in this department is the grabbing controls are a bit fiddly, particularly towards the end Tropical Freeze does what it's Wii predecessor did, only better. Tropical Freeze does what it's Wii predecessor did, only better. I'm really confident that you won't regret it. If you were hesitant like me, just go on a limb and try it out. I especially like how forgiving the game can be if you fail too many times, as the game practically throws extra lives at you. I absolutely love the boss battles and some of the main levels are so frantic and fast it feels epic to beat them on the first try. The game also has the right amount of difficulty for someone like me. Donkey Kong moves like a boulder, and it really works with the great level design. So much attention to detail in the ultimately simple aesthetic and the gameplay feels really tight. However, once I got passed my cowardice, this is one of my favorite 2-D platformers. The game also has the right amount of difficulty I was hesitant to buy this game because Donkey Kong himself freaks me out. I was hesitant to buy this game because Donkey Kong himself freaks me out. Sure this game is not worthy of picking up the console alone but with the combination of super mario 3d world and mario kart 8 and super smash bros coming up in the future, it's certainly worth your time and money. Beating a difficult level without getting hit felt great and rewarding. I only hated one level out of every single level in the game! The only time I hated some other levels was due to them being hard at first which is not a bad thing at all. I could tell that the developers put a lot of time into making the levels creative and unique from each other. Now I will end the main review off by talking about the level design and the overall gameplay. The Wii U should be capable of running the game at a higher quality but this is not an issue at all and just a nitpick. The graphics are pretty good but I think they could be a tad better in some levels. The smooth controls allowed the very hard sections to be fair and fun. From every roll to jump, it was your fault if you goofed up in a level. The controls are pretty simple while feeling unique from other platformers. Controlling Donkey Kong and the gang felt really great. This has to be one of the finest soundtracks for a video game ever made. I love the atmospheric songs david wise conducts and each song fits perfectly with mostly all the levels. Let me start the review by talking about the soundtrack and. I never played returns so I will not be mentioning it at all in this review. It was amazing and when I saw the trailer for this, I was pretty hyped.
